Privacy Policy

The short version: your answers are yours. We use them only to give you your results. We never sell them, never show them to anyone else, and delete them on a schedule.
Who we are
Find Thy Purpose ("we", "us") runs findthypurpose.com. For anything about your data, write to hello@findthypurpose.com.
What we collect
- Your answers to the questions, including anything you write in your own words.
- Your work history, if you paste a resume or describe what you've spent your years doing.
- Your email address, so we can send your results and a link to pick up where you left off.
- Your ratings of how accurate each reading felt.
- Purchases. If you buy a report, payment is handled by Stripe. We receive a confirmation and the amount, never your full card details.
- Basic technical data. Our hosting provider processes your IP address and browser information to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
We don't ask for your name, and we don't connect to your social media or other accounts.
How we use it
- To choose your next question and generate your readings and report.
- To email you what you asked for: your resume link, your results and any report you bought.
- To improve the questions, using accuracy ratings and aggregate statistics only.
- To keep the site secure and stop automated abuse.
We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, or share your results with anyone, including whoever might have sent you here.
Who helps us
We use a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare: hosting, database and bot protection (Turnstile).
- Anthropic: the AI model that writes your readings. It receives your answers, but not your email address. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.
- Amazon Web Services (SES): sending email.
- Stripe: processing payments.
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries.
How we protect it
Anything you write in your own words, and any work history you paste, is encrypted before it is stored. Your results can only be viewed from the browser session that created them, or through a private link sent to your email. We never write your answers or work history into our logs.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie that keeps your session, so you can continue where you left off. It lasts 30 days. Cloudflare's bot check may set its own cookies when you enter your email. We use no analytics or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
- Sessions that never become a paid report are deleted 30 days after they start.
- For paid reports, your raw answers and work history are deleted 90 days after the report is delivered. We keep the report itself so we can resend it, until you ask us to delete it.
- Payment records are kept as long as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your data at any time by writing to hello@findthypurpose.com from the email address you used. Deleting removes your answers, readings and reports. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Age
Find Thy Purpose is for people aged 16 and older. If you believe someone younger has used it, contact us and we will delete their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. For significant changes, we will tell you by email if we have your address.
